![]() ![]() Very hot by most accounts, when you run them even medium hard, hot to the touch. However, if I am leaving something on the table with that choice, I would like to know why. What did/do you gain (other than the voltage vs watts swings) by going to a more costly amplifier? I was just going to get another p900.4. ![]() All the other amps vary 100-150w between when the engine is running and when it's not.Ĭan you please elaborate more on the rating you gave it? I have the ppi p900.4 on my rev10's and I am about to switch it to my cabin speakers so I will need another amp for my Revs. As it'd deliver 375w wether at 12.6 with the engine off or at 14.4v, very ideal. That JL would be the absolute premium choice. I run the Arc 600.2 now, and would give it a solid A. I would encourage you to wait till you had $475 for an Arc 600.2 or $650 for the JL HD750-1 or $450 for the Exile 15.4. ![]() I would rate the amp a B-, or use it as a temp till I could do it right if funds were not avail. And have since used the PPI and the Arc600.2. So now my assesent of this amp iS higher than I stated earlier.very happy with the amp, I would buy another!! Also, you will get much better sounds by splitting the 2 RCAs into 4 for the 4 inputs on the NVX. Even when other folks' amps were cutting out. Ran hot(can hold hand on amp for 10 seconds) when blasting but never cut off. 15+hrs wakesurfing and about the same in party cove. Ignore the HPF button, HPF switch only sounds great.Īlso, as far as getting hot. Hence my comments saying it sounded like crap. So instead of trying to block out 70hz and lower like I was trying to do, i was crossing it over at 700hz. I thought you had to push in the HPF button also along with the switch. The switch is the standard crossover we are all familiar with. I not too proud to admit when i screw stuff up.I wasn't using the crossover properly: there's a HPF/all pass/LPF switch. ![]()
